Qian (Momo) Mao is a UX/UI designer living in Los Angles. She was born and raised in Shenzhen, the Chinese Silicon Valley. She studied illustration and painting at six years old and has won many national competition awards since. From the age of 17, she has studied abroad in the US for nine years, where she received her Bachelor degree in Graphic Design from California College of the Arts, and her Master degree in Media Design Practice from Art Center College of Design. She also completed summer studies abroad in Japan to explore the aesthetics of Wabi-Sabi, and in France to learn stop motion as a means to perfect her visual designs.
Momo is passionate about creating designs that embrace a global vision that celebrates cultural diversity. She has interned at tech companies and product design agencies in the Bay Area. Her most recent experience was leading a team of five designers to create a new user interface experience for Tian Hang technology, a Chinese start-up company in Shenzhen.
Her past work has included creating different visual and interaction experiences for customer facing products. She continues to cultivate her speculative concepts and visual interests by dedicating herself to building an efficient and creatively organized world. : )
